St. Margaret's, Richmond

The private house in St.Margaret's, Richmond is owned by Ceraudo Founder, Emily & her husband, Ed. It was in a very dilapidated state, so required a full refurbishment including demolition of an old ground floor studio, kitchen & first floor bathroom to re build as one large kitchen space with pantry & WC. A large roof lantern and crittal style patio doors create an incredibly bright space.

The design is elevated by a series of architectural details that bring a sense of playfulness to the space. By seamlessly blending classic period features with striking, modern design choices, the property is unconfined by rigid design rules.  Traditional silhouettes are juxtaposed with bold, contemporary designs, resulting in a vibrant, character-rich environment where old and new harmoniously collide.

On the first floor, the family bathroom was completely reimagined to create a tranquil, spa-like retreat. By removing an awkward flight of three steps from the main landing, we completely transformed the spatial dynamics of the room. This clever architectural pivot not only dramatically increased the overall square footage but also gifted the space with incredibly grand, soaring ceilings. Dropping the floor line created an immediate sense of scale and luxury, turning a standard bathroom into a high-ceilinged, airy haven.

To complete the transformation, the entire home was fully redecorated, embracing the rich depth of tonal colour-drenching. Serving as a beautiful showcase for her own brand, Emily layered character and texture throughout the spaces using Ceraudo's signature wallpapers and fabrics.
